Motion Recruitment’s Houston client, a leader in oil and gas, seeks a Materials Management Advisor for a contract role with hybrid work (3 days on-site in Houston, TX, rest remote).

You will establish material demand planning, coordinate with procurement and MM teams, and ensure timely delivery to meet business requirements.

Expertise in ERP systems, reporting tools, and inventory optimization is required to drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with matrix organizations.
• Solid commercial acumen and ability to make economic decisions.
• Knowledge of inventory modelling or statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Capture material demand across operating functions and coordinate with procurement.
• Apply demand planning tools and techniques to improve planning and scheduling.
• Identify and prioritize risk mitigation related to material demand planning.
• Manage performance of MM service providers and ensure alignment with strategy.
• Develop resource plans and monitor annual performance for the team.
• Support identification of excess and surplus inventory.
