Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Controls Systems Data Center Team Lead for a remote role with 20% travel. You will lead on-site projects from planning to closeout, including hardware design, software programming, installation coordination, and commissioning.

You will manage project finances, pursue change orders, ensure safety, and mentor technicians in a collaborative environment with strong safety and training emphasis. Competitive pay and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related field experience in HVAC/Controls or Building Automation Systems with System Design or System Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in designing and commissioning digital HVAC controls systems.
• Ability to explain technical material to non-technical audiences and work independently.
• Strong PC skills and knowledge of control theory and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and complete control systems projects with assigned customers, including hardware design, software programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and closeout.
• Manage overall project finances: costs, billings, and collections; balance customer satisfaction with profitability.
• Communicate with clients throughout all phases; pursue change orders and ensure warranty execution.
• Provide coaching and technical assistance to technicians, installers, and designers; ensure safety compliance.
