Job summary

Leidos seeks a Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team working on electric transmission projects for major utilities. You will design high-voltage overhead and underground lines, applying NESC/ASCE standards, and perform PLS-CADD analyses and related calculations.

You will prepare bids, drawings, specs, and procurement documents, collaborate with PMs, environmental and construction teams, and contribute to continuous improvement through new tools and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (or Mechanical) with 2+ years of relevant transmission experience.
• Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Strong teamwork and communication; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Execute design tasks for high-voltage transmission lines in compliance with standards.
• Prepare drawings, specs, and calculations under guidance.
• Perform analyses including PLS-CADD modeling and structure loading.
• Collaborate with project managers and teammates to meet schedules and budgets.
