Job summary

Leidos seeks a Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team tackling electric transmission design for major utilities. You will contribute to high-voltage overhead and underground projects, applying standards such as NESC, ASCE, and ACI while developing drawings, specifications, and material documents.

Utilizing PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE, you will perform analyses, support bid documents, and help with QA/QC in collaboration with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil, preferred, or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Strong communication skills with clients and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical design and engineering tasks for high-voltage transmission lines per codes and standards.
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and calculations under guidance of Lead Engineers.
• Perform analyses including PLS-CADD modeling and structure loading calculations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by adopting new tools and automation.
• Coordinate project progress with the PM to meet schedule and budget.
• Maintain proficiency with industry-standard software and Leidos design processes.
