Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to lead substation construction and operation, driving successful project execution. The role can be fully remote or based full-time in Edison, NJ or Albany, NY, with location details discussed during interview.

You will oversee HV equipment, subcontractors, safety, and coordination across teams. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in substation projects, PE or PMP preferred, and strong communication to manage owners, utilities, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in substation design, construction, or commissioning.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary substation projects end-to-end.
• Familiarity with transformers, breakers, switchgear, grounding, relays, SCADA.
• Licensed PE or PMP preferred.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation design, construction, testing, and energization.
• Review interconnection agreements and specifications for compliance.
• Manage budgets, procurement, and schedule for HV equipment.
• Lead subcontractors and coordinate RFIs, changes, and safety.
• Coordinate energization activities, testing protocols, and commissioning.
• Ensure safety around energized substations and high-voltage work.
• Support continuous improvement and lessons learned across projects.
