Job summary

Conductor Power is seeking an experienced High Voltage Substation Project Manager to lead HV substation scopes for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. You will oversee planning, engineering coordination, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and closeout while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence.

You will coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and utilities, manage procurement strategies, and maintain client satisfaction throughout project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years in HV substation construction or related electrical infrastructure.
• Three+ years managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relations.
• Experience delivering substation projects through construction, testing, commissioning, turnover.
• Utility-scale solar, BESS, collector substation, or generation interconnection experience preferred.
• PMP certification and OSHA 30 construction training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV substation scopes from handoff through commissioning to turnover.
• Develop execution plans, budgets, schedules, staffing, and procurement strategies.
• Manage sitework, foundations, grounding, structures, equipment, buswork, control buildings.
• Coordinate interfaces with MV collection, generation tie line, and interconnection.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals; manage RFIs and changes.
• Coordinate procurement, delivery, and installation of long-lead equipment.
• Monitor progress, staffing, equipment, and subcontractor performance.
• Manage cost tracking, forecasting, and PPRs.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Administer subcontracts and vendor commitments.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, utilities, engineers, subcontractors.
• Lead safety compliance with EHS and field leadership.
• Ensure quality inspections, testing docs meet requirements.
• Coordinate testing and SCADA integration.
• Coordinate outages and energization activities.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to process improvements.
• Comply with company policies.
