Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. seeks a High Voltage Project Detailer to perform quantity takeoffs, BOM preparation, and constructability reviews for substation projects. This remote-friendly role supports preconstruction, estimating, procurement, engineering, and operations to ensure accurate budgets and successful bids.

You will develop material quantities, labor assumptions, and project documentation, coordinating with EPC, design-build, and utility substation teams. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Drafting, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in electrical construction and high-voltage substations.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel, and estimating software platforms.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit, Procore, Primavera P6, Accubid and SharePoint.
• Ability to interpret one-line, three-line diagrams, site plans, and structural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, and bid documents.
• Develop material BOMs, reports, and identify cost impacts.
• Assist in labor units, productivity assumptions, and installation durations.
• Create material tracking documents and procurement packages.
• Support constructability reviews during preconstruction and planning.
• Coordinate drawing revisions and maintain project document control.
• Assist engineering teams with design reviews and field revisions.
• Generate procurement-ready material lists and coordinate with vendors.
