Job summary

2080HR is hiring an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead day-to-day HR delivery for a portfolio of startups. You will partner with founders, executives, managers and employees to drive people initiatives across on-site and remote teams.

You’ll blend hands-on HR execution with strategic advisory, navigating VC/PE-backed scaling, payroll, benefits, and compliance. This role offers broad exposure and mentorship within a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, I/O Psychology, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years in HR Generalist/HRBP/HR Specialist/HR Manager roles.
• 2+ years in VC/PE backed startup or high-growth company.
• Experience operating with limited structure and managing through change.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR delivery across client portfolio.
• Act as embedded HR partner to client leadership, managers, and staff.
• Oversee onboarding, offboarding, payroll changes and benefits administration.
• Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and programs.
• Conduct salary benchmarking and job leveling for client leadership.
• Visit client locations in the Los Angeles area as needed.
