Job summary

Whip Around is seeking an HR Leader to own our HR infrastructure end to end. You will manage systems, payroll oversight, policies, and compliance, while unifying U.S. and New Zealand HR activities.

You will partner with Finance and executive leadership to design scalable processes, controls, and an employee lifecycle framework that supports growth and keeps us compliant across borders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a smaller or mid-sized org.
• Experience developing and implementing HR policies and internal controls.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment practices and compliance.
• Experience managing payroll processes and providers.
• Experience evaluating or implementing HRIS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary internal HR leader reporting to the CFO and executive team.
• Develop an HR strategy aligned with business objectives for a 70-person international org.
• Define processes, approvals, and documentation standards across HR lifecycle.
• Oversee U.S. payroll and coordinate with NZ consultant on compliance.
• Build and monitor HR controls, risk management, and policy governance.
• Lead recruiting and onboarding processes and external recruiter management.
