Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Specialist, HR Credentialling to join our onboarding team. This remote role supports pre-employment background checks, drug screening, immunization and credentialing workflows across sites in the United States.

The specialist will create and file documentation, provide one-on-one credentialing support, monitor progress, and communicate policies to candidates, vendors, and HR teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in HR or clinical credentialing.
• Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience with pre-employment background checks, drug screening and medical services.
• Familiarity with accreditation surveys (Joint Commission/ACR/DoH).
• Knowledge of radiologic technology certification boards.

Responsibilities

• Verify and confirm pre-employment background checks to meet start dates.
• Order drug screens and immunization records and coordinate scheduling.
• Create and file all supporting pre-employment documentation.
• Deliver pre-adverse action notices to candidates who do not meet policy.
• Maintain credentialing data in the credentialing database.
• Provide credentialing progress updates to Recruiters, Managers and HR Operations.
• Respond to credentialing requests for audits, site starts and contract staff.
