Qualifications

• Minimum of 30 years of experience in Position Classification work or a BA/BS degree.
• Training in leadership in Human Resources.
• Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Acquire input from managers to classify positions by title, series and grade.
• Draft PDs, review and recommend corrections to support requested title, series and grade.
• Document position classification, prepare briefing papers and options.
• Research questions and provide advice on organization and position management.
• Create and revise mission statements, write evaluation statements and cross walks.
• Conduct organizational analyses and desk audits for proper classification.
• Review classification requests and recommend approvals or rejections.
• Develop equitable grade structures through reorganizations and staffing requests.
• Submit biweekly status reports and provide monthly recruitment metrics.
