Job summary

Verdantas is seeking an HR Business Partner to serve as a tactical and strategic HR partner across business units. You will support processes, employee relations, leave, and organizational development—driving engagement, performance, and retention in a people-focused culture.

The ideal candidate is proactive, people-centric, and experienced with HRIS systems (Workday preferred). This remote role supports Eastern/Central time zones and helps Verdantas grow its people solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a min of 7+ years of experience.
• Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
• Hands-on experience using an HRIS system; Workday is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Illinois state law & compliance.
• Must be located in Eastern or Central time zone.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate business processes and organizational changes in HR systems (Workday and VantagePoint).
• Provide first level employee relations support for leaders and staff.
• Coordinate leave guidance with managers and the Benefits Team.
• Support employee communications across onboarding, check-ins, pulse surveys, and exits.
• Assist in performance management, coaching, and employee development programs.
• Ensure HR compliance with labor laws and policies.
• Contribute to special projects or committees.
