Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner in the United States to act as a strategic HR partner across business units. You will drive employee relations, leave support, organizational development, and policy compliance while aligning people strategies with company goals.

The candidate brings 7+ years of HR experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong knowledge of Workday; Eastern or Central time zone is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 7+ years of experience in HR or HRBP roles.
• Strong organizational skills and proactive mindset.
• Hands-on experience using HRIS (Workday preferred).
• Solid knowledge of state-specific employment laws and compliance (IL state law mentioned).
• Must be located in Eastern or Central time zones.

Responsibilities

• Serve as tactical and HR partner between HR and business units; support processes, employee relations, leave support, and organizational development.
• Drive initiatives to enhance engagement, performance, and retention; ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Facilitate business processes by initiating changes in systems like Workday and VantagePoint.
• Coordinate leave guidance with managers and employees and align with Benefits team.
• Support performance management, onboarding, pulse surveys, and employee communications.

About The Role

As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you’ll serve as both a tactical and HR partner between the HR function and business units. You will support business processes, employee relations, leave support and organizational development — all while driving initiatives that enhance engagement, performance, and retention. This role is a critical connector, ensuring people strategies align with company goals, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. The ideal candidate is proactive, people‑focused, and passionate about fostering a productive and inclusive work environment

Responsibilities

• Facilitating Business Processes: Initiating organization changes in Workday and VantagePoint.
• Managing Employee Relations: First level support for group leaders and department leaders, general employee inquiries, developing job descriptions and aligning career planning tools.
• Coordinating Leave Support: Provide general guidance to managers and employees on leave of absence. This is an essential bridge to the Benefits Team.
• Fostering Employee Communications: The employee life cycle – onboarding, check‑ins, pulse surveys, and exit processes.
• Driving Performance Management: Supporting performance feedback, coaching line managers, and brainstorming engagement and development programs.
• Ensuring HR Compliance: Maintaining compliance with labor laws, company policies, and ADA accommodations.
• Working on Projects: Participation in special projects or committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a min of 7+ years of experience.

• In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Hands‑on experience using an HRIS system, Workday is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IL state law & compliance
• Must be located in Eastern or Central time zone

Salary Range:

$68,500 - $88,000
