Job summary

5C Data Centers is seeking an HPC Systems Administrator to support day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HPC and AI infrastructure across data center and cloud environments. The role emphasizes Linux systems administration, GPU server management, and high-performance networking.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, network teams, and data center operations to improve reliability, perform routine maintenance, and ensure production HPC environments run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of experience in Linux systems administration, data center operations, infrastructure support, HPC, cloud infrastructure, or a related technical role.
• Solid Linux OS knowledge and command-line administration.
• Exposure to GPU infrastructure or interest in NVIDIA accelerated computing.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• HPC Infrastructure Operations: Maintain Linux-based HPC and AI computing environments including NVIDIA GPU clusters across bare-metal, virtualized, and cloud platforms.
• GPU and Accelerated Computing Systems: Install, configure, validate, monitor, and troubleshoot NVIDIA GPU infrastructure and perform hardware replacements and RMAs.
• Linux System Administration: Manage Linux services, filesystems, networking, storage, authentication, SSH, DNS, and NTP with security standards.
• Server Hardware, Firmware, and OOB Management: Troubleshoot server hardware, perform firmware updates, and use out-of-band tools for remote admin and health monitoring.
• High-Performance Networking: Troubleshoot Ethernet, InfiniBand, and RoCE connectivity and validate performance after changes.
• Incident, Problem, and Change Management: Participate in incident response, document actions, and follow change-management procedures.
• Collaboration and Development: Work with senior engineers, contribute to runbooks and knowledge bases, and pursue continuous HPC infrastructure improvement.
