Job summary

5C Data Centers in Ohio is seeking a Senior Cloud System Administrator to support and optimize large-scale HPC/AI infrastructure across data center and cloud environments. You’ll focus on the hardware layer, Linux OS, GPU servers, networking, storage, firmware, drivers, and out-of-band management.

You will lead complex incidents, collaborate with Network Engineering and Deployment teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration, HPC infrastructure, data center operations.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware and GPU infrastructure.
• Experience with NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, DCGM, and GPU management tools.
• Ability to work across hardware, firmware, OS, network, and storage layers.
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Strong documentation, communication, and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, troubleshoot HPC, AI compute environments across bare-metal, virtualized, containerized, and cloud platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, OS, networking, storage, and firmware issues affecting production infrastructure.
• Lead complex incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and maintain runbooks and support procedures.
