Job summary

5C Data Centers is seeking a Systems Administrator Lead for the Night Shift to support large-scale HPC and AI infrastructure. You will manage Linux-based compute environments, GPU clusters, and NVIDIA drivers, ensuring reliability during overnight hours from 1AM–10:00 AM EST.

You will act as a senior escalation point, coordinate with Data Center Operations and vendors, and contribute to incident response, documentation, and shift handoffs across remote data centers in North America.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Linux systems administration in HPC/AI environments.
• Hands-on with enterprise GPU infrastructure and NVIDIA hardware.
• Experience with DCGM, Fabric Manager, and GPU management tools.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Ansible; familiarity with monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux-based HPC and AI compute environments and GPU clusters.
• Diagnose hardware, OS, driver, networking, and storage failures; perform root-cause analysis.
• Serve as escalation point for complex incidents affecting production compute infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Data Center Operations, Deployment Engineering, vendors, and customer teams to restore service.
