Job summary

5C Data Centers is seeking a Senior Cloud System Administrator to support HPC/AI infrastructure across data center and cloud. This role focuses on Linux systems, GPU clusters, high-speed networking, storage, firmware, and remote troubleshooting in North America.

You will serve as senior escalation for complex incidents, collaborating with Network Engineering, Data Center Ops, and vendors to restore service and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux systems administration in HPC/AI environments.
• Hands-on with enterprise server hardware, GPUs, and firmware.
• Experience with NVIDIA GPU platforms and GPU management tools.
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware, OS, network, and storage.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based HPC/AI compute environments across bare-metal, virtualized, containerized, and cloud platforms.
• Diagnose hardware, OS, networking, storage, driver, and firmware issues in production infrastructure.
• Lead incident resolution with root-cause analysis and maintain runbooks and processes.
• Install and manage NVIDIA GPU infrastructure, GPUs drivers, CUDA, and firmware components.
• Monitor GPU health with NVIDIA-SMI, DCGM, and Fabric Manager; coordinate hardware replacements as needed.
• Administer enterprise Linux systems, perform updates, kernel modules, and device drivers.
• Troubleshoot performance, boot, networking, storage, and security issues; analyze logs and metrics.
• Manage server firmware, out-of-band management, and inventory; use Redfish/IPMI/iDRAC/iLO.
• Lead incident/change management; document actions and assist during outages.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote operational excellence through standardization.
