5C Data Centers in the United States is seeking a Systems Administrator Lead for the Second Shift to support HPC/AI infrastructure, GPUs, and large-scale compute across remote environments.

The role focuses on Linux administration, GPU driver management, firmware, and incident response, with overnight coverage and collaboration with networks, storage, and deployment teams to keep production systems reliable.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years in Linux systems administration, HPC/AI infrastructure or data center operations.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware and NVIDIA GPU infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of server hardware, firmware, PCIe, NUMA, memory, storage, and networking.
• Experience with NVIDIA drivers, CUDA and GPU-management tools (DCGM, Fabric Manager, nvidia-smi).
• Proficiency in automation/scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible) and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Willingness to work a fixed recurring shift and participate in on-call escalation.

Mansioni

• Administer Linux-based HPC/AI compute environments and GPU clusters.
• Diagnose hardware, OS, driver, firmware, networking, and storage failures; perform root-cause analysis.
• Serve as senior escalation point for incidents affecting production compute infrastructure.
• Support heterogeneous environments: bare-metal, virtualized, containerized, and cloud-hosted.
• Maintain runbooks, shift-handoff notes, and operational documentation.
