Neuralink is seeking a Systems Engineer - Compute to design, build, and operate data center environments powering neural recording, processing, and engineering workloads. You will own GPU/HPC clusters, storage, and automation for provisioning and maintenance in a demanding data center setting.

Responsibilities include hardware selection, rack deployment, BIOS/firmware tuning, OS deployment, and capacity planning, with emphasis on Linux servers, scripting, and configuration management using

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with HPC or high-density compute environments.
• Experience with data center power, cooling, and racking design.
• Strong Linux server administration experience; Windows Server knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data center environments including power, cooling, and scalable racking.
• Own the full server and storage lifecycle: hardware procurement, rack setup, BIOS/firmware tuning, maintenance, decommissioning.
• Administer HPC and GPU clusters and high-performance storage systems.
• Automate server provisioning using PXE/HTTP boot and scripting; use Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet.
• Administer Linux and Windows server environments including OS deployment and patching.
• Operate infrastructure monitoring and drive capacity planning for compute/storage.
