Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate family, seeks an Inside Property Adjuster for its Claims team. This fully remote role involves investigating homeowners claims, determining coverage and damages, and negotiating within authority.

Prior experience with residential homeowner claims and proficiency in Xactimate and XactAnalysis is highly preferred. The position emphasizes independent work, with periodic in-person inspections, and opportunities to advance within a dynamic insurance environment.

Qualifications

• Experience handling residential homeowner claims with proficiency in Xactimate and XactAnalysis.
• Ability to determine coverage, damages and negotiate within authority.
• Knowledge of residential construction and repair basics.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and adjust homeowner first party claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with independence within authority.
• Identify key components of residential construction and repairs.
• Recognize customer needs and provide appropriate service.
• Collaborate with underwriting and other teams when needed.
• Learn to determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle.
