Job summary

AASLH seeks an instructor to facilitate at least two virtual sessions per year for its Leadership and Administration for History Organizations course. The role includes guiding readings, assignments, quizzes, and discussions with a self-paced curriculum supported by AASLH’s Professional Development department.

You should have experience with small to mid-size history organizations, leadership in museums, and teaching or curriculum design, with Zoom proficiency for online sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with small to mid-size history organizations.
• Extensive experience in museum/historic site leadership.
• Teaching or curriculum design experience, online or in-person.
• Experience using Zoom, including its breakout rooms, whiteboard, and other meeting room features.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate online sessions, guide discussions, and assess assignments.
• Coordinate with AASLH PD department for curriculum support and technical assistance.
• Deliver at least two virtual sessions per year as instructor for the Leadership and Administration course.
