Parkland Health is seeking a 100% remote Coding Editor to review coding quality alerts, hospital and outpatient encounters, and billing edits before final billing. The role emphasizes identifying denials and opportunities for revenue integrity within the US healthcare system.

You will verify CPT and ICD-10 coding accuracy, review charge mismatches, and collaborate with multiple revenue cycle teams. A five-year acute care coding background and active certifications are required.

Formación

• Must have completed an approved coding program or be a graduate of an HIM program.
• Must be certified through AHIMA or AAPC with one of the listed credentials.
• Current certification status must be active per associations’ guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Verify accuracy of CPT codes for complex procedures.
• Verify diagnosis coding accuracy for complex encounters.
• Review charge and procedure mismatches.
• Review codes with revenue integrity edits for coverage.
• Review invalid codes, conflicts and missing modifiers.
• Collaborate with billing, revenue integrity and coding teams.
