Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a High Voltage Project Detailer to perform quantity takeoffs, material analysis, and constructability reviews for high-voltage substation projects.

This fully remote role supports preconstruction, estimating, procurement, engineering, and operations with accurate material quantities and labor assumptions. The position requires strong proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam Revu, and estimating tools, plus experience with 12kV–500kV systems.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Drafting, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in electrical construction and high-voltage substations.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating software platforms.
• Ability to interpret one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, and site plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Quantify major substation components (foundations, structural steel, grounding, bus, conduit, cable trays, terminations, equipment, fencing).
• Develop material quantity reports and BOM summaries.
• Verify scope, identify design gaps and cost impacts, and assist labor unit development.
• Coordinate with EPC/design-build teams and assist procurement and project planning.
• Support constructability reviews, document control, and project turnover.
