Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC seeks online K‑12 teachers for The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Florida (VPA Florida). You will serve as the teacher of record across core subjects, delivering live lessons, tracking progress, and collaborating with a principal to report student outcomes.

Role requires a Florida teaching license, comfort with remote instruction, and flexibility for occasional in-person state testing events.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Two years’ teaching experience preferred.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching and frequent observations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook).
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to stand for long periods and supervise students.
• Pass background checks.
• Experience in multicultural settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as teacher of record and primary instructor for core content across grades.
• Meet and monitor student achievement and culture goals and accountability standards.
• Deliver engaging live lessons via web conference.
• Set up courses in the Learning Management System and monitor progress.
• Provide daily feedback and grades for asynchronous work.
• Maintain regular contact with students and families.
• Collaborate with Principal on Progress Reports and data-driven adjustments.
• Differentiate instruction and integrate 21st‑century tech in daily practice.
• Create a joyful, inclusive classroom environment and culturally responsive lessons.
• Participate in planning non-instructional activities and travel for state testing.
