Job summary

The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Florida seeks qualified K-12 teachers for online instruction statewide. You will be the teacher of record in core subjects, delivering live lessons via web conferences and supporting students through personalized feedback.

Role requires a valid Florida teaching license, knowledge of state standards, and strong communication skills. Occasional travel for in-person testing and events is expected, with opportunities to foster student growth and engagement.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Two years teaching experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas.
• Deliver effective live lessons via web conference based on student needs.
• Complete course setup for each course in the LMS.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Collaborate with Principal to deliver Progress Reports of Students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Travel to support in-person state testing and events several times per year.
