Boyd Thermal, now part of Eaton, seeks a Heat Exchanger Subject Matter Expert to lead design, optimization, deployment and troubleshooting of liquid cooling solutions. You will bridge advanced thermal theory with manufacturing and lifecycle management, contributing to near-term R&D efforts.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and 5–7+ years of heat-exchange experience, with travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Exceptional technical writing and presentation skills.
• 5-7+ years of relevant Heat Exchange experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand industry landscape and product types.
• Heat transfer analysis and log mean temperature differences.
• Determine optimal heat exchanger sizing based on fluids and flow.
• Model thermal performance using CFD tools.
• Act as technical authority on heat exchanger solutions.
• Select materials to prevent corrosion and fouling.
• Lead investigations into thermal incidents and downtime reduction.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, procurement and operations.
• Review proposals and assist in vendor qualification.
• Ensure designs and operations meet safety standards.
