Job summary

Carrier's Heat Transfer Group in Syracuse is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead modeling-centered technology and product development for heat exchanger solutions across Carrier’s HVAC&R portfolio.

You will collaborate with technology and modeling experts, product design teams, and supply chain partners to improve performance, cost, and reliability while reducing energy use.

This on-site role requires engineering experience and a passion for innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 7+ years of engineering experience.
• Master's degree in engineering with 5+ years of engineering experience.
• PhD degree in engineering with 3+ years of engineering experience.
• CFD/FEA familiarity; EES and Matlab experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage technology development programs and deliver on-time solutions to internal customers.
• Develop, validate, and deploy new heat exchanger technologies for Carrier’s current and growing range of products.
• Identify and pursue innovation opportunities to improve efficiency, cost, reliability, and competitiveness of Carrier products.
• Apply state-of-art design and simulation tools to optimize heat exchanger performance with a focus on compact heat exchangers and electronics cooling.
• Lend expertise to cross-functional product development teams to ensure successful insertion of new technologies in Carrier products.
