Ideal candidates will have 3–20 years of California WC defense experience, mastery of AMA Guides, and proven negotiation and drafting skills. This fully remote role offers stability and growth within a 30-year industry presence.

Qualifications

• 3–20 years of California Workers' Compensation defense experience specifically as a Hearing Representative.

Responsibilities

• Caseload Management: Independently handle lien files from initial review through final resolution, including medical record review and apportionment analysis.
• Disability Rating: Utilize the AMA Guides to accurately rate permanent disability.
• Litigation & Appearances: Represent insurance carriers, TPAs, and employers at Mandatory Settlement Conferences (MSC), Status Conferences, and Walk-Through settlements.
• Negotiation: Lead strategic negotiations with lien claimants to mitigate costs and close files.
• Legal Drafting: Prepare petitions, declarations, position statements, and settlement documents.
