Qualifications

• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret Medicare, Medicaid and commercial policies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and multiple software tools.
• Prior remote work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hospital claims and identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursements.
• Investigate underpayments and payment variances due to coding or policy issues.
• Contact insurance carriers to obtain missing information and clarify decisions.
• Prepare documentation to support reimbursement recovery and post payments.
• Maintain records of investigations, outcomes, and trends for audit readiness.
• Apply payer guidelines to support accurate claim assessments and recoveries.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Participate in meetings to improve workflows and recovery strategies.
• Uphold HIPAA and other regulations; work ethically and securely in a remote setting.
