You will complete a comprehensive 90-business-day training and work with healthcare billing systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech while collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve

Qualifications

• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement methods.
• Ability to interpret payer policies and apply reimbursement guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hospital claims to identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursements.
• Investigate underpayments by checking coding and billing accuracy and payer policy applications.
• Contact insurance carriers to obtain information and clarify payment decisions.
• Prepare documentation to support reimbursement recovery, including letters and reports.
• Maintain records of investigations, outcomes, and trends for audits and knowledge sharing.
• Apply Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial policy guidelines to claim assessments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and insurers to resolve complex reimbursement issues.
• Participate in meetings to suggest process improvements and recovery strategies.
• Uphold confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
