Job summary

UnitedHealthcare At Home is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join our Optum NM team. This position is remote in Albuquerque, NM, with flexibility to work remotely or within commutable distance to the office at 303 Roma Avenue NW, 5th floor, Albuquerque, NM 87102.

The Scheduling Coordinator schedules and coordinates patient appointments, verifies insurance and delivers a positive patient experience. This role is full-time (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm MST, with occasional

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 18 years of age or older.
• 1+ years of related customer service in a call center, medical office, healthcare insurer, or scheduling field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Ability to work 8:00 am - 4:30 pm MST, Monday - Friday, with possible overtime.

Responsibilities

• Accurately schedules and coordinates patient appointments for assigned clinics.
• Work in a high call volume environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Analyze provider schedules to maximize capacity.
• Obtain eligibility and benefits information; assign FSC benefits and related data changes in EPIC.
• Register patients in EPIC; update demographics and insurance information.
• Use text templates in the EHR and send encounters, multitask across systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
