Cardinal Health is seeking a remote Customer Service Operations representative to handle high-volume inbound calls and process orders for medical supplies. You will assist with insurance billing, order status and product information while maintaining a patient, professional approach.

The role emphasizes compliance with regulatory standards, strong communication, and the ability to work across multiple systems during the order placement lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years' experience in a high-volume call center.
• Previous remote/work-from-home experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.
• Experience with order placement systems/tools preferred.
• Customer service in healthcare industry preferred.
• Root cause analysis experience preferred.
• Familiarity with call-center phone systems preferred.
• Excellent phone skills with a focus on quality.
• Experience meeting daily call center metrics (AHT, adherence, ASA, QA).

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls from customers, caregivers, and referral sources regarding medical supplies.
• Handle high call volumes with complex and sensitive issues.
• Process orders for new and existing customers, including insurance billing and payments.
• Operate company hardware and multiple software programs to address customer concerns.
• Consult with Supervisor or Team Lead on complex problems.
• Adhere to processes to ensure work is compliant with regulations.
• Provide order status updates to achieve first-time call resolution.
• Explain insurance terminology and product information to customers.
• Identify next steps based on system messages and insurance requirements.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and coworkers.
• Support order placement lifecycle as a universal agent.
