Gateway Services Inc. is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to support operations across the Central region. This remote role collaborates with site leadership, conducts inspections and investigations, and drives practical preventive actions in a multi-site environment.

You’ll work closely with Operations to implement safety programs, manage risk, and promote a culture of safe performance across Care Centers throughout the Central United States and Canada.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant safety experience, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or multi-site environments.
• Experience with workplace inspections, incident investigations and job-hazard analysis.
• Working knowledge of applicable H&S requirements and accurate recordkeeping.
• Ability to assess hazards and recommend practical controls.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain safety requirements to leaders and frontline teams.
• Sound judgment, calm response to urgent situations and dependable follow-through.

Responsabilidades

• Partner directly with Operations to build trusted relationships and provide practical H&S advice.
• Identify and prevent risk through inspections, audits and hazard assessments; implement controls.
• Investigate incidents and vehicle accidents; support investigations and recommend preventive actions.
• Support safe return to work with timely field information and return-to-work plans.
• Bring safety programs to life by implementing policies, tools and learning campaigns.
• Use data to identify recurring risks and recommend improvements.
