Gateway Services is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to support operations across the Central region. This field-facing role partners with operations leaders, conducts workplace assessments, supports investigations and helps implement preventive actions to ensure safe, compliant operations across multiple Care Centers.

You’ll travel up to 50% and work across a geographically diverse territory, bringing practical safety guidance, translating standards into actionable steps, and driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• At least four years of relevant safety experience in manufacturing, distribution or multi-site operations.
• Experience with workplace inspections, incident investigations and job-hazard analysis.
• Working knowledge of H&S requirements and accurate recordkeeping.
• Ability to assess hazards and recommend practical controls.
• Strong communication skills with leaders and frontline teams.
• Sound judgment and dependable follow-through.
• Comfort working independently across a dispersed territory.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with Operations to understand priorities, provide practical safety advice and resolve H&S matters.
• Identify and prevent risk through workplace inspections, hazard assessments and controls.
• Investigate incidents and vehicle accidents, gather evidence and recommend preventive actions.
• Support safe return to work with local field information and approved plans.
• Bring safety programs to life by implementing policies, tools and campaigns.
• Use data to identify trends and propose practical improvements.
