Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Solution Architect to support the Health Technology Management Services team in a fully remote role within the United States. The position focuses on documenting current state architectures and developing future solution architectures for a dynamic healthcare IT environment.

The candidate should have 15 years of related experience, an engineering/CS/ Systems/ business degree, and demonstrate strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills to drive architecture

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Systems, or a related field.
• 15 years of related experience.
• Experience in Healthcare or Healthcare Insurance environments.
• Ability to meet deadlines, including short-notice requests.
• Works well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Quickly develop a holistic view of the organization’s current IT architecture, business operations, in-flight technology modernization initiatives and future plans
• Build a trusted advisory relationship with the client
• Build/augment technology roadmaps and runways that align with higher organizational strategies and vision
• Direct interface with users/stakeholders to determine needs
• Manage and track technical data across products and teams for easy inquiry and in support of data calls
• Support and defend the Intake process for new work and change requests
• Leverage GovCIO resources across programs
• Monitor/interpret technology memos/policies/directives from higher leadership and recommend approaches
• Communicate and advocate for alternative viewpoints with clarity and diplomacy
• Propose effective architectural solutions in multiple technical environments
• Experience architecting in complex systems of systems with system-to-system interaction, and within parameters of reusing some components in an overall solution.
• Experience with architectural care and feeding of applications that are in the maintenance phase in addition to architecting new solutions.
