Job summary

American Heart Association is seeking a Program Consultant to support Quality Improvement across ME, NH, VT, and NY. The role can be home-based within these states with travel up to 20% for local overnight stays.

You will engage hospitals, systems, and EMS in Get With The Guidelines programs, provide decision-support, and help build hospital teams and infrastructure to sustain improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in clinical quality or process improvement.
• Experience in hospital/healthcare systems for cardiovascular disease and stroke.
• Familiarity with EMS, Payers, CMS and Systems of Care work.
• Excellent PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills; ability to present to groups.

Responsibilities

• Engage with hospitals and health systems to implement Get With The Guidelines programs and hospital certifications.
• Consult with hospital teams to identify compliance issues and optimize program value and ROI.
• Build relationships with physician champions, stakeholders, and executives.
• Collaborate with state health departments and regional partners to advance cardiovascular care.
• Document activities in CRM tools and report progress to the Director of Health Care Quality.
