Job summary

EDB is seeking a Senior Security Leader to guide Security Operations and Security Engineering. You will report to the CISO and shape how we detect, respond, and prevent threats across people, platforms, and playbooks at scale.

You will partner with Governance, Risk & Compliance, and Application Security teams, aligning security with IT and Product roadmaps. This is a growth-focused role with expanding scope and responsibilities as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience leading security teams.
• 7+ years in security operations, incident response, detection, or security engineering.
• Track record of scaling a security function through rapid growth, not just running one.
• Strategic thinking beyond the immediate scope of the role.
• Ability to translate technical risk into business impact for executives, legal, customers, and IT/Product counterparts.
• Comfort in a global, remote-first environment with flexible schedules and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end security operations and engineering programs.
• Lead threat hunting, detection engineering, and security analytics (SIEM/EDR/SOAR).
• Develop preventive controls and least-privilege design across platforms and pipelines.
• Own insider threat program in collaboration with HR, Legal, and IT.
• Drive automation and AI-enabled workflows to augment analyst capacity.
• Integrate security requirements into acquisitions and new environments.
