Job summary

CARET is seeking a Director of Payments to own and scale the go-to-market strategy, operating model, and revenue performance of CARET Pay, our embedded payments product in the legal practice management software used by firms.

This cross-functional role partners with Sales, Customer Success, Implementation, Product, Finance and Legal to drive adoption, onboarding, activation, expansion and retention across the installed base.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in B2B payments, fintech or SaaS.
• Experience leading a payments function or go-to-market motion.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance and Legal.
• Hands-on operator, able to set strategy and execute with customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the payments operating model and P&L, including boarding and activation reviews.
• Own end-to-end payments performance and CARET Pay P&L: net revenue, volume, net spread, activation, retention.
• Establish SOPs and engagement rules across Sales, Payments, Implementation, Training and Customer Success.
• Scale merchant onboarding and activation for new logos and migrations; drive adoption and reduce friction.
• Lead partnerships across GTM and design quotas, compensation, and incentives for payments teams.
• Define and monitor key metrics and build CRM/BI reporting visible to sellers, CS and executives.
