Olgoonik is seeking a Head Cook for a remote position based in Alaska, overseeing kitchen operations and staff. Responsibilities include managing food preparation, ordering, sanitation, and inventory in a fast-paced, safe environment.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts and 3–4 years in food production with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Knowledge of HACCP, safety standards, and customer-focused service is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
• Minimum 3–4 years in quantity food production or restaurant industry.
• 1 year of supervisory experience required.

Responsabilités

• Directs plans and supervises kitchen staff activities.
• Oversees food item purchasing, storage, and inventory control.
• Ensures sanitation, safety, and regulatory compliance in all kitchen areas.
• Oversees production schedules and staffing to meet timely service.
• Instructs cooks on preparation, garnishing, and presentation of foods.
• Collaborates on recipe development and menu planning with seasonal ingredients.
