Job summary

Virtix Health is seeking an experienced HCC Coding professional for a 100% remote, full-time or part-time role in the United States. You will review medical records, abstract ICD-10-CM codes, and map diagnoses to HCC, RxHCC, and ESRD models using encoder software and AHA Clinic resources while collaborating with a team focused on accuracy and accountability.

Requirements include a minimum of 6 months of retrospective HCC coding experience plus 1 year of coding experience, plus a current AHIMA or

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of retrospective HCC coding experience, plus 1 year of coding experience.
• Current AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• Accepted credentials: CPC, CRC, COC, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P.
• Apprenticeship designations are not accepted.
• Must maintain quality score of 95% or higher.
• Must have working knowledge of EMRs, Billing systems, abstraction platforms.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and code patient medical records based on client guidelines.
• Follow ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines and interpret guidelines for accurate code assignment.
• Abstraction for HCC, RxHCC, and ESRD models.
• Ensure privacy and security of confidential information.
• Collaborate with team and maintain productivity per project requirements.
