Job summary

Datavant is seeking an experienced HCC coder to review medical records, identify diagnoses, and code them accurately for risk adjustment and reimbursement. You will follow ICD-10-CM and DRG guidelines while maintaining coding quality and meeting deadlines.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of HCC coding, robust ICD-10 knowledge, and the ability to work remotely in a fast-paced environment. AHIMA or AAPC credentials are preferred, and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of HCC coding experience.
• Extensive ICD-10 knowledge and coding accuracy.
• Strong medical terminology, abbreviations, pharmacology and disease knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to identify and code diagnoses per project guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM, DRGs coding guidelines and policies.
• Aim for 95% coding accuracy.
• Handle additional tasks as requested by management.
