Job summary

Datavant is hiring an HCC Coder to review medical records and assign accurate ICD-10 codes for risk adjustment and reimbursement. You will code according to client guidelines and maintain high accuracy in a fast-paced production setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in HCC coding, extensive ICD-10 knowledge, and strong medical terminology skills. Remote work is supported; 40 hours per week with independent work style and strict attention to quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of HCC coding experience.
• Extensive ICD-10 knowledge required.
• Strong medical terminology, pharmacology, and disease knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work remotely.
• Able to manage time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must follow instructions and work independently.
• Remote work capability and 40-hour weekly commitment.
• AHIMA/AAPC credentials or equivalents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and code diagnoses in medical records per project guidelines.
• Ensure ICD-10 CM and DRG coding guidelines compliance and payer policies.
• Maintain a coding accuracy rate of 95% or higher.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
