Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking HCC Coders for a remote coding project. Candidates must have Humana experience and be able to review medical records for diagnosis code abstraction across Medicare, Commercial, and Medicaid risk adjustment.

You will code according to ICD-10-CM guidelines, use Cotiviti and client-specific rules, and maintain high accuracy while meeting 40-hour weekly expectations. This home-based role requires a distraction-free workspace in the continental US and a high-speed internet

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Nationally certified coder in good standing through AAPC or AHIMA (CRC, CPC, CCS, etc.).
• 1-2 years' experience in medical risk adjustment / HCC coding.
• Experience in HCC record abstraction and coding requirements.
• Adherence to official coding guidelines and client-specific guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records for accurate, compliant, and complete diagnosis code abstraction for Medicare, Commercial and Medicaid risk adjustment.
• Possibly handle special projects requiring full coding review.
• Code following ICD-10-CM guidelines and client-specific coding guidelines.
• Use designated coding platform to support production and accuracy.
• Maintain >95% quality accuracy and communicate workload and deliverables to management.
