Packetlabs is seeking a Penetration Tester - Hardware to lead security assessments of embedded and IoT devices, including analysis of silicon, firmware, and board layouts. The role combines offensive security with solid hardware fundamentals and hands-on testing on real devices.

You will work with clients to understand devices, deliver actionable findings, and advise on remediation while staying current on hardware attack techniques and lab tooling. Fully remote within Texas or Florida.

Competenze

• Strong electronics fundamentals; able to read schematics and datasheets
• Hands-on soldering ability including surface-mount rework
• Experience accessing debug interfaces (JTAG, SWD, UART) and extracting firmware

Mansioni

• Plan and execute end-to-end hardware penetration tests on embedded and IoT devices
• Identify, access, and exploit on-board debug interfaces to gain code execution or memory access
• Reverse engineer firmware and embedded binaries to find logic flaws and exploitable conditions
• Write high-quality technical reports and present findings to client stakeholders
• Build and maintain lab tooling and internal methodology
• Stay current on hardware attack techniques and defensive controls
