Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) near Idaho Falls is offering an on-site internship with the Nuclear Remote Design team. You will design, mock-up, redline, oversee fabrication, and test remotely operated systems used in hot cells for advanced nuclear research.

The 4x10 schedule is on-site; internships may qualify for university course credit. Eligibility includes full-time enrollment in an accredited engineering program (Mechanical, Nuclear, Materials Science, or Electrical), a minimum 3.0 GPA,

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in an accredited engineering program.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (CPT/OPT).
• Current resume or CV required.
• Unofficial transcripts included.
• Current class schedule and credits.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on design and development of remotely operated systems for hot cells.
• Participate in conceptual design, mock-up reviews, and redlining drafts.
• Oversee fabrication and testing of components to ensure performance.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers on project iterations.
