Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) offers an undergraduate internship in the Mechanical and Fixture Systems group at the Materials and Fuels Complex. The role focuses on designing remote-handling equipment for hot cells, troubleshooting facility systems, and aiding qualification testing within the mock-up shop.

The ideal candidate is an undergraduate junior or senior in Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0 GPA, able to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Undergrad Junior or Senior enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum overall 3.0 GPA.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT).
• Current Resume or CV.
• Unofficial Transcripts (include current and completed degree programs).
• Current class schedule and number of credits.

Responsibilities

• Designing remote-handling equipment for use in hot cells at MFC utilities.
• Troubleshooting facility equipment and assisting with qualification testing in the mock-up shop.
