Job summary

Mercury GSE is seeking a Remote Technician to perform complex troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs on our GSE fleet. The role is primarily field-based at customer sites, requiring strong problem-solving, communication and safety discipline.

You will diagnose, repair and calibrate powertrain, hydraulic and electrical systems, read schematics, and maintain documentation while traveling to domestic and international client locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; ASE or diesel cert is a plus.
• 7+ years heavy diesel vehicle experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote/field-based role.
• Experience diagnosing mechanical equipment issues and customer relations.
• Ability to travel 100% domestically and internationally.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must secure proper airport security badges.

Responsibilities

• Serve as customer contact on technical equipment issues.
• Establish, grow, and nurture customer relationships.
• Troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, and adjust ground support equipment and components.
• Perform field diagnostics and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Read electrical and hydraulic schematics and diagnose related issues.
• Complete and submit service documentation (work orders, reports, diagnostics).
• Travel to customer locations within the assigned region; occasional international travel.
