Job summary

Mercury GSE seeks a Ground Support Equipment Technician / Mechanic to inspect, repair, and overhaul aviation GSE. You will work on chassis, drives, engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and read schematics, performing preventive maintenance in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years’ GSE repair experience, a valid Class C license, and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years repairing and maintaining ground support equipment.
• Provide and maintain a complete set of tools.
• Valid Class C drivers’ license.
• ASE certification or other diesel cert is a plus.
• Able to secure proper airport security badges.
• Strong problem solving and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul GSE and components.
• Read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as fluid changes and brake/tire work.
• Safely operate a motor vehicle as required.
• Complete work order forms per procedures.
• Keep tools and equipment in safe, good condition.
• Report safety violations or improper work to supervisor.
• Comply with federal, local, state rules and company procedures.
• Keep workspace clean and free of safety hazards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
