Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a control systems engineer to design and integrate software for gas turbine grid code compliance, delivering high-performance frequency response and reliable control solutions within an Agile environment.

You will collaborate across global teams, simulate before site deployment, support projects, and contribute to Lean improvements while advancing power grid stability and decarbonization efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in control systems in gas or steam turbine industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Solid understanding of Grid Code fundamentals: droop control, frequency response, RoCoF, and governor modeling.
• Field experience in commissioning or maintenance is a significant asset.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software libraries for turbines to meet grid code requirements and high-performance frequency response.
• Integrate developments within the global control system including PLCs, HMI, cabinets, and automation tools.
• Simulate and validate solutions using advanced simulation platforms and multi-physics tools before site commissioning.
• Provide technical support to project, execution, and customer support teams for complex issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define specs, lead design reviews, and deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Contribute to Lean-based continuous improvement aligning with GE Vernova standards.
