Job summary

Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore seeks a Grants & Contracts Manager (Post Award) to oversee pre-/post-award and closeout activities for complex sponsored projects. The role includes guiding a small team and serving as the primary contact for faculty and sponsors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Five years of related experience in sponsored research and/or financial positions with lead or supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as department/division liaison for Departmental Sponsored Projects Office, Office of Research Administration and University Shared Services.
  • Partner with faculty and budget staff to plan and develop submissions to federal offices, private agencies, foundations and commercial companies.
  • Responsible for pre-review of complex proposals.
  • Manage final grant package presentation and approval with the Office of Research Administration.
  • Prepare proposal budgets for PI review and advise on approved budget changes to awards.
  • Manage the sponsored portfolios of various departmental faculty to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Develop and monitor budget tracking systems and review SAP reports for variances.
  • Coordinate internal audits and account reconciliations for sponsored accounts.
  • Produce forecasting and trend reports for expenditures and closeouts with sponsors.
